Toronto based Scott Waters will present exhibition of paintings titled The Keeper of Nothingness. The exhibition is based on Water’s observation and experiences during his deployment to Kabul in 2011 where he was participating in the Canadian Armed Forces Artist Program. The work investigates the psychological states that soldiers in Afghanistan experience during their deployment. Water’s work contemplates binary relationships which are commonly experienced by the soldiers: anticipation of an event and its aftermath, safety and chaos, and a constant reminder of mortality.
Opening Reception: Thursday, March 20, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
An Artist Talk will take place at the Opening Reception
