Meghan Krauss January 7 - March 6, 2019

Meghan Krauss, 186 Tourists, 2014-2018, Panoramic Inkjet Print on Vinyl, 3′ x 8′

Meghan Krauss’ exhibition Observer Observed consists of large-scale panoramic photomontages where multiple images of tourists are compressed into a single image. The photographs reference how people seemingly interact with each other and the world around them through technology. Images were taken in the Banff National Park and during residency in Olafsforur, Iceland and digitally assembled in Krauss’ studio in Victoria, BC.

The Board of Directors and Executive Director, Dauna Kennedy,  invite you and a guest to the opening reception of The Light Within You by Heidi Thompson, Observer Observed by Meghan Krauss, and Decolonizing Our Table: Indigenous Food Sovereignty by Kama? Aboriginal Art Collective  at the Vernon Public Art Gallery. Enjoy an evening of music, contemporary art, locally crafted beer, wine, and appetizers, on Thursday, January 10 2019, from 6 p.m – 8 p.m.
