The Social Event of the Season! Gallery Fundraiser Features Rail Trial Painting and Mother-Daughter Duo

“Things are ramping up at the VPAG in preparation for Midsummer’s Eve of the Arts!  We have received so many generous donations for this year’s auction, it’s shaping up to be a great evening.

I was touched to see that this year we have submissions from a mother-daughter duo.  Heidi Thompson a long time Vernon Artist is known for her large-scale abstractions of the landscape. Her daughter Carmen an emerging artist, created for us a soothing sky-scape. It is a very special thing to see the support of the art gallery being passed from one generation to the next!

For all of you Rail Trail lovers out there, we have a very special piece up for auction this year from Rick Bond!  Always an auction favourite, Bond’s submission this year is sure to be popular as a way of recognizing the significant project that is taking place in our community with the development of the rail trail.  I am looking forward to seeing who the lucky bidder is on this one.”
