About the Event

Family Saturday

Family Saturdays take place on the last Saturday of each month with an art project suitable for little kids and big kids alike.  The workshop starts promptly at 1pm each month with instruction and a project demonstration.  Parents are encouraged to participate and create their own piece of art as well.  Families are welcome to stay the entire session from 1pm to 3:30pm or leave earlier. Our VPAG Family Saturday instructors are experienced working with children, and all have post-secondary art education. All materials for the workshops are supplied.  Suggested ages 5 years old and up • $5/members • $9/non-members.  Call 250-545-3173 to pre-register or sign up online.

October 26 – Anthropomorphic Animal Collages: Join us this month for a tour of Diana Thorneycroft’s exhibition Black Forest (village). Inspired by her dark fairy-tale like scenes and anthropomorphic creatures, we will head to the classroom to create our own anthropomorphic animal collages.

*Please note this exhibition may be disturbing to some*
