What is Giving Tuesday?

Giving Tuesday
Vernon Public Art Gallery

This year the Vernon Public Art Gallery will be raising funds for the Regional Reach travelling art kit and their Art Education programs like Family Saturdays and Mini Artists.

GivingTuesday is a global movement for giving and volunteering, taking place each year after Black Friday. The “Opening day of the giving season,” it’s a time when charities, companies and individuals join together and rally for favourite causes. In the same way that retailers take part in Black Friday, the giving community comes together for GivingTuesday.

How Can I Donate?

You can also stop by or mail a cheque to VPAG.

All donations over $20 will be eligible for the charitable tax receipt.

Why is This Important?

VPAG is a crucial cultural asset to the community. The Vernon Public Art Gallery provides a welcoming place to be inspired, make connections and experience something new.

VPAG relies on grants, fundraisers and donations to support basic operating costs that provide quality exhibitions, educational programs and community events to Greater Vernon.

Many people feel they cannot make a large donation and therefore feel their donation won't make a difference, but even a donation as little as $5 will go a long way.

This year's Giving Tuesday will be a pivotal opportunity for the VPAG to raise funds for our art education programs, our Regional Reach program.

This Giving Tuesday, let's empower our community with creative possibility.
