Regional Reach is a travelling art education kit that is delivered to schools from the VPAG

The Regional Reach travelling art kits are designed for outlying schools in the North Okanagan Regions. The VPAG felt the need to create a travelling art education kit that all teachers and students in School District No. 22 and the surrounding communities within the North Okanagan Regions can utilize. Although some schools nearby can participate in school tours and workshops at the gallery, high bus costs and other barriers effect outlying schools in the North Okanagan Region creating lack of access to the VPAG’s art education programs.

Frequently Asked Questions

We have a team of 4 classes that want to use the Regional Reach Art Kit. Do we each pay the $75 fee?

Yes, the $75 fee covers the cost of supplies for one class. If there are 4 classes using the kit, then each class pays the fee and we will supply the appropriate amount of supplies and materials for each class.

How long does it take to go through the guide with my class?

This will depend on the grade level of your class and if you decide to focus on all five of the contemporary artists or just one or two. In our trial run, teachers have mentioned that 4 weeks is the perfect amount of time to go through the guide.
