Volunteer at the 2023 Midsummer's Eve of the Arts!

Midsummer's Eve of the Arts is an annual fundraiser that supports the VPAG's exhibitions and programs year after year.
​
We are currently seeking volunteers to assist us with various tasks before, during and after the event.
​
Some areas/tasks included are:

Lifting and moving heavy equipment

Running artwork during the live auction
-
Greeting guests
-
Serving food and drinks
-
Bartending
-
Assisting the team with processing/organizing artwork
-
Photography

Gallery Assistant and Gift Shop Attendant

Monday, Wednesday, & Thursday
10AM - 1PM

3 Hours 1 day/week
6 Month commitment minimum

This is a regular, scheduled volunteer commitment best suited for someone with an interest in local arts and culture who is looking to get involved!
Volunteer during regular gallery hours and gain experience with gallery operations and administration. In this role you will work directly with gallery staff to support daily procedures and interact with the visiting public and artists. This role will also assist with retail sales in the gift shop, Art Sales and Rentals, and Video Rentals for the Vernon Film Society.
Duties may include:
- Answering the phone and directing calls
- Interacting with guests to the gallery, answering questions, and providing information about exhibitions and programs
- Assisting gallery administrator
- Processing retail transactions

Application Assets:
We are looking for personable and professional individuals who will represent the Gallery to our visitors. The Gallery will provide all necessary training and enrichment for the role. We do consider the following skills an asset to the application:
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Experience with gallery/museum operations
- Organized
- Willing to learn
- Experience with computers, Microsoft Office, and
Square POS
- Engaged with the community
